“Brazilians want one favour from Croatia: To beat Argentina today”
Brazil legend, Ronaldo Nazario, has openly admitted he would be a “hypocrite” if he says he wants Argentina and by extension, Lionel Messi to win this year’s World Cup.
Last Friday, Brazil were eliminated from the competition currently going on in oil-rich Qatar, after Croatia dumped them out at the quarter-final stage via a penalty shootout.

On the same day, the five-time champions watched as their South American arch-rivals, Argentina, beat the Netherlands on penalties to book a spot in the semi-finals.
Brazilians will be hoping Croatia will do them a favour by denying La Albiceleste the chance to win the World Cup trophy for the first time in nearly four decades.
Analysing the encounter between Argentina and Croatia, which is billed to be played today, December 13, Ronaldo said: “I cannot answer for the whole of Brazil. I can only answer for me. And I am not that sure! Yeah, of course, I will be happy for him (Messi).
“But, you know, we have a great rivalry between Brazil and Argentina. But I will not be that much of a hypocrite to say I will be happy for Argentina because it’s not true,”
